Shannon and I concentrated on minimalism this evening. It has been a dark and raining day today with the landfall of tropical storm Bill and this composition seemed to fit our mood. The set up for this photo was very simple. I had Shannon lie on her back and pull her legs up to her chest wrapping her arms around behind her knees. I placed our key light about three feet away from Shannon and did not use a light modifier. I did lower the power of the flash to ¼ of its total power output. With all of the different lines and shapes in the photo hopefully it really gets to viewer looking hard at the image to try and make out the scene in their head.
