Yesterdays photo got me in the mood to use very directional light while focusing on Shannon’s gentle curves. I love exploring line in a composition. For tonight’s photo I had Shannon lye in front of our black backdrop and cross her legs in different ways. I pointed the key light directly at her with a grid attached. The grid is used to focus the light in a fairly tight beam. I did not want the light to spill over onto the background or the drop she was lying on. The resulting photo is a very well exposed subject, her legs and bottom, and everything else falls into black. The soft tones compliment the soft curves of Shannon’s lower body however the angles created by her legs add interest to the image.
Tomorrows image has already been planned in my mind.
